I completed my grade 12 co-op placement with Shonna at ShoRick Productions. During my placement I learned a great deal. Shonna also provided me with access to workshops and learning opportunities I would not have otherwise had access to. The workshops covered writing, directing, and production. I even got to meet award-winning writers, directors, and even a Showrunner I'm a fan of - to learn more about their jobs and career paths. Throughout the placement  I went through various learning modules that Shonna created covering things like script breakdown, cinematography, directing, producing, and the business  of filmmaking. Shonna made sure I had weekly tasks and homework that helped me to actually learn and remember a lot. I achieved writing my first short film with Shonna's support. I am thankful for the experience and I will always be grateful to Shonna for everything! Even though I am done with my co-op placement, Shonna continues to check in and offer her guidance in my education and career goals. She was one of the first people I reached out to when I got into my first choice for college!
